Who We Are
Founded in 2013, The Jacksonville Baby Company is Northeast Florida’s premier postpartum and newborn care agency. We provide upscale, personalized support for families in Jacksonville and surrounding areas (within 30 miles of the city center). Our mission is to help families thrive during the fourth trimester by offering exceptional care, unwavering support, and restful nights.
The Role

Title(s): Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, or Postpartum & Infant Care Specialist

Care type: Primarily overnight care (9 PM – 7 AM, Monday–Friday), with occasional daytime shifts and weekends available

Location: Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas

Mentorship & training to help you grow as a Postpartum & Infant Care Specialist (or guidance to reputable external training if you prefer)

Requirements & Expectations
When you make this very small commitment you're ensuring yourself a career path that is is fulfilling and in demand. Don’t worry if you’re not already set up, we’ll guide you through everything step by step. Typical start-up costs are modest (usually under $700–$1,000 total, depending on your path), and we’ll provide instructions and recommendations for each step.

Willing to work as an independent contractor (LLC setup: ~$125–$160 in Florida)

Obtain professional liability insurance (~$200–$400 annually)

Current pediatric & adult CPR certification (~$50–$100)

Background Check (we run this- cost for you $0)

Training as a Postpartum & Infant Care Specialist (cost varies; we provide in-house mentorship at no cost or can connect you with external training, typically $400–$900)
